In Memory of J.D. "His Royal Highness"

J.D. sitting on his dragon horde

My cat always wanted to be something greater. No scratch that. He knew he was. He was a dragon that lived with us and by his prerogative we were allow to live. He was a great and terrible tyrant, but I loved him for his attitude. He would sit on his horde, like the king he was, even if his horde was only 2 dollars and a laptop computer. John had everything he wanted, including his own abacus. I am still not sure if he used it to count his wealth. After a long day or ruling he could rest in his favorite yoga pose, "cinnamon roll"

more cats

J.D. died on November 4, 2017. I met him when I fell in love with my wife. He was her cat first, so they were a package deal. He has always been part of our family and our home feels empty without him around. Good bye my friend and I forgive you for all of the times you mistook me for your dinner.

Ode to John

John was crazy as a cat should be.

He would run around for all to see

This is, until it was time to flee

He could disappear, just like smoke

He couldn't be found, it's no joke

Into every cranny we would poke

No matter where we looked around

There was no J.D. to be found

He was a ninja and made no sound

When he wanted he would return to us

He would wounder "What's all the fuss?"

I'm back now, no need to cuss

Hold me close, pet me now

Now I wish I could hear him meow

But I know he is gone, forever, caio
